FAQ's
If buying an existing franchise, the purchase price is determined by the outgoing Franchise Partner.
If buying a new franchise, PFP will endeavour to keep the purchase price as low as possible. Unlike many other franchises, PFP does not profit from building your new franchise. PFP will pass on all Landlord incentives and contributions in full, and utilise existing location infrastructure where possible to keep each location as cost effective as possible. A new franchise will generally cost between $150,000 and $500,000 to construct and fitout with equipment depending on the style, location, and number of brands.
Additional costs that need to be factored into the purchase of a franchise are:
- Initial Franchise Contribution (new locations only): $30,000 for first brand + $5,000 per additional brand.
- Initial Marketing Contribution: $5,000 per brand.
- Initial Training Contribution: $5,000 for first brand + $2,000 per additional brand.
- Initial Legal Contribution: $5,000 for 1 brand, $6,500 for 2 brands, $7,500 for 3 brands.
Depending on circumstances Franchise Partners may also need to be prepared for costs associated with obtaining finance, lease assignment, licenses, registrations, and other incidental costs.
Each purchase is different. Some Franchise Partners elect to pay for their purchase with savings alone, while others will obtain finance. Most Franchise Partners will contribute some of their own savings and obtain finance for a portion of their purchase.
PFP can recommend a range of finance providers to assist prospective Franchise Partners and in a limited number of circumstances PFP can also provide finance directly to Franchise Partners, enabling people to commence their franchise, even with limited savings or ability to obtain finance.
The return on your investment depends on many factors and especially on your ability to grow sales and control costs. While we can provide benchmarks, historical data and templates to assist with business planning and forecasts, we are unable to guarantee any particular return.
The choice is yours! At any time, we have a number of future franchise locations that are in the planning stages. However, we are also open to suggestions from prospective Franchise Partners who have a general geographical area in mind or even a very specific site location.
No. Whilst previous experience in hospitality, retail, customer service, management or business is a great advantage, our extensive training program, systems and procedures, and experienced Support Team will ensure you are ready and capable of running your own franchise business.
Being an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia is generally recommended to assist with finance and various business applications, but isn’t explicitly a requirement.
We have a comprehensive training program to ensure you and your franchise is set-up for long-term success. The minimum training program for Franchise Partners is 5 weeks, with additional weeks for those Franchise Partners who wish to add additional brands to their location. Each week of training consists of 5 days, but this can be condensed to complete days consecutively if you are in a hurry or spaced out to fit in with your other commitments.
Training is conducted at suitable quality training locations in the Brisbane area. We welcome you to bring your business partners or other significant people to some or all of your training in order to ensure as many people as possible are trained.
It’s up to you! We have Franchise Partners who work full-time in their franchise, others who work part-time, and some who install a management team to do the work for them. Generally, we recommend working actively in your franchise as much as possible when first starting out to ensure that you know the inner workings of your franchise before entrusting it to a management team.
We welcome expressions of interest from people who share our vision and are interested in potentially partnering with us in any location throughout Australia. Being a Franchise Partner with PFP is a unique opportunity to be part of a network that exists exclusively through demand and sets itself apart from competitors.
